Dr. Keith Hougas earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1999. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Illinois Optometric Association. As an active member of the Lion’s Club, Dr. Hougas supports their efforts in assisting low-income families with eye care needs. 

Dr. Hougas has been the optometrist at Cary Optical for seven years, as well as having a private practice in Elburn for the past nine years.

He enjoys fishing, golfing and is an avid Illini and Bears fan.  Dr. Hougas is married with two children and resides in Crystal Lake.

The population of patients vary, but Dr. Hougas enjoys working with pediatrics, geriatrics and various types of ocular diseases to include eye allergies. 

Candee Osborne has owned and operated Cary Optical for the past 15 years.  She worked as the optician and receptionist at Cary Optical when her father owned the practice 10 years prior. She has been serving patients in the area for over 25 years.  Candee worked for several years as an ophthalmic and surgical assistant for an ophthalmology practice in Waukegan, Gurnee and Vernon Hills. She has extensive knowledge and experience as an optician. She prides herself in working with patients one on one basis. 

Candee enjoys riding on her Harley and spending time with family.  Candee resides in Wisconsin with her fiancé, 18-month-old daughter and her dog, Bandit.
